World record moose rack on display in Dawson City, Yukon
Heinz Naef is showing off his prize rack in his home town Saturday.
The world's largest moose rack will be unveiled in Dawson City, Yukon this weekend.
Heinz Naef shot the world record size Alaska-Yukon moose this fall. It was officially declared a new world record by the Boone and Crocket Club in Reno, Nevada last December.
Naef says in this case it’s true, size matters.
“It weighs 94 pounds, it is 75 and then 8 inches wide by 52 and a quarter, and it is number one in the world officially,” says Naef.
The giant moose rack will be on display at the Dancing Moose in downtown Dawson Saturday.
Everybody is invited to come look and have a picture taken with the antler rack. There will even be t-shirts on sale.
The antlers will eventually go on display in the Dawson City visitors centre.
