Thawing permafrost threatens food security for N.W.T. First Nation

Climate change is causing permafrost to thaw in and around Jean Marie River First Nation in the N.W.T. That's gradually turning lichen-rich forested and shrubbed areas — that caribou use to feed on — into wetlands, even lakes and ponds.
