Northwestel says all phone services in the North should be back to normal, after a broken fibre line was repaired early Tuesday morning.
A section of buried line was damaged by a landslide in Northern B.C. earlier this week.
The company rerouted phone traffic to a redundant line on Monday but congestion on that line caused problems in Yukon, the N.W.T., Nunavut and Northern B.C.
Some customers had trouble using long distance and wireless services, as well as 1-800 calling.
Northwestel said the broken section of fibre line has been replaced, and all services were restored to customers as of 7 a.m. PT.
