Northwestel customer information accidentally made public

​Northwestel has contacted 25 people to apologize after information from customer requests for digital TV was inadvertently posted on its corporate website.

Customers include 18 people in Whitehorse, six in Yellowknife and one each in B.C., Alberta

Northwestel has contacted 25 people to apologize after information from customer requests for digital TV was inadvertently made available on its corporate website.

The customers include 18 people in Whitehorse, six in Yellowknife and one each in B.C. and Alberta.

The information may have included phone numbers, addresses and email addresses.

The requests were made since February.

Northwestel says it has all been removed.

It also says no financial or credit card information was revealed.
