Ndilo, N.W.T., bush fire caused by children, say officials

Firefighting personnel responded to a bush fire in Ndilo, N.W.T., Sunday night, which officials say was caused by children playing with matches.

This burned area lies about 50 metres behind a row of houses.

The small fire began just after 8:30 p.m. A helicopter was dispatched to dump water on the flames and Yellowknife fire fighters mopped up the area afterwards.

No one was injured and no homes were damaged.
