The WildPlay outdoor adventure park at Mount Sima near Whitehorse is back in business after a year in limbo.

The million-dollar aerial adventure park will have its grand reopening Saturday. It has been closed since Mount Sima finances dried up last summer.

When the Mount Sima ski hill in Whitehorse first opened its summer adventure park in 2012, youth from the Whitehorse Boys and Girls Club said walking across the green balls was one of the scariest parts. The park reopens this weekend. (CBC)

The high-priced zip lines remain closed for now because of the high cost of operating the chairlift but access to the Monkido aerial adventure park is now priced at $35 a day, with a season pass for the entire summer costing $95.

"So at $95 you just have to come a few times to make it happen and it's nice for us because any money we make here in the summer is going to help make our winter happen," says operations manager Sam Oetli.

The park will operate Friday to Sunday until June, then four days a week until the first week of September.
