Whitehorse RCMP continue to search for the body of a 19-year-old man who fell or jumped into the Yukon River at Miles Canyon on Monday afternoon.

Miles Canyon is a recreational area south of Whitehorse popular with hikers, cyclists and paddlers.

An RCMP spokesperson says a dive team may be sent into the river and Schwatka Lake over the weekend but it depends upon whether conditions are considered to be safe enough.
