Members of the Liard First Nation in Yukon will go to the polls to elect a new chief and council in early December.
Chief Liard McMillan not seeking re-election
Members of the Liard First Nation in Yukon will go to the polls to elect a new chief and council in early December.
Chief Liard McMillan made the announcement on Friday.
Voters will elect a chief, deputy chief and four councillors.
McMillan says he will not seek re-election.
So far only Jim Wolftail has declared his candidacy for chief. Wolftail is presently deputy chief.
The vote will take place Dec. 16 with an advance ballot on December 2.
