The annual collection of new prints from Cape Dorset, Nunavut, features art by the renowned Kenojuak Ashevak, who died in January.

A limited number of prints are made each year. The collection goes on sale at galleries across Canada and in the U.S. today and tomorrow.

This year's collection includes 32 new works from 11 different artists, but almost a quarter of the images are by Ashevak.

Joemee Takpaungai, Ashevak's nephew, worked with her at the West Baffin Eskimo Co-op in Cape Dorset.

"This is probably the last collection of her work in this collection, so it's special for us to have her images in the 2013 collection."

Ashevak's prints this year are priced between $1,400 and $1,800.

The entire collection goes on display Saturday at the West Baffin Eskimo Co-op in Cape Dorset, at the Nunatta Sunakkutaangitt museum in Iqaluit, and at the Northern Images gallery in Yellowknife. It will also be on display at galleries in major cities across North America.
