After bagging two medals at last month's Parapan Am Games, Yukoner Jessica Frotten is headed to another international competition next month.
Athletics Canada named Frotten to its 35-member team going to the International Paralympic Commitee (IPC) World Championships in Doha, Qatar, October 21 to 31. She is the only Northerner on the team.
In August, Frotten took home two bronze medals from the Parapan Am Games, and narrowly missed winning a third. She won her medals in the 100-meter and 400-meter wheelchair races.
The Whitehorse resident, aged 27, became wheelchair bound following a motor vehicle accident in 2009.
The Parapan Am Games was her first major international event.
