Friends, family, RCMP searching for Jake Angurasuk in Iqaluit
'We'd like people to, of course, have a look around their property or their work and look under buildings, inside shacks,' says Janet Brewster, president of the Uquutaq Society.
Angurasuk has not been at the Uquutaq men's shelter since Dec. 4
Family, community members and RCMP in Iqaluit are looking for Jake Angurasuk, a homeless man who has not been at the Uquutaq Men's Shelter since Dec. 4.
Angurasuk is an Inuk male, 29, with collar-length brown hair and brown eyes.
"A number of people are searching on the beach," said Janet Brewster, president of the Uquutaq Society.
"We'd like people to, of course, have a look around their property or their work and look under buildings, inside shacks. If people are spending any time out on the land, if they can keep an eye out, that would be great."
Posters are up with Angurasuk's last picture taken at the Uquutaq Shelter.
Individuals will be outside Northmart this afternoon to help spread the word.
