Iqaluit RCMP release video of Quickstop armed robbery suspect

Police say a man wearing a black hoodie and black snow pants entered the store Saturday afternoon just after 4 p.m. and produced what appeared to be a pistol at the counter.

Iqaluit RCMP have released images and video from security footage of a suspect in an armed robbery at the Apex Quickstop.

Police say a man wearing a black hoodie and black snow pants entered the store Saturday afternoon just after 4 p.m.

The man produced what appeared to be a pistol at the counter. The store employee handed the man an undisclosed amount of cash from the cash register and the man left.

Police say the man concealed his identity by wearing a white, red and black mask.

Witnesses said the man was Inuk and between five feet, five inches and five feet, nine inches tall.
