Wednesday marks 35 years since the signing of the Inuvialuit Final Agreement, the first land claim agreement signed north of 60.

Communities across the N.W.T.'s Beaufort Delta celebrated the occasion with feasts, drum dancing, and northern games on June 5.

The land claim agreement was signed in 1984, and has been called the foundation of governance and decision-making for the Inuvialuit Regional Corporation.
