CBC North hosts Indigenous justice forum in Yellowknife
CBC North hosted a public forum Wednesday night in Yellowknife, where Dene leaders, healers, and people who work inside and outside of the justice system will work to re-imagine an Indigenous justice system that truly heals.
Forum took place at Yellowknife's Northern United Place following screening of Tony: Back from the Brink
On Wednesday night, CBC North hosted a screening of Tony: Back from the Brink, the story of Tony Kalluk, an Inuk former violent criminal on the road to redemption and his experience through the Canadian justice and prison system.

Following the screening, a public forum was held with Dene leaders, healers, and people who work inside and outside of the justice system to re-imagine an Indigenous justice system that truly heals.

- Paul Andrew, former CBC broadcaster, community leader and former chair of the N.W.T.'s Minister's Forum on Addictions and Community Wellness
