Group offers cash reward for information about 'Tulie'
RCMP are taking over the investigation into the badly beaten dog
An animal welfare advocate has found out more information about a dog that was badly beaten, shot and left dead in a dumpster next to the Copper Road Veterinary Clinic last month.
Jordi Mikeli-Jones says through tips and phone calls, she's learned the dog's name was Tulie. She says the Labrador retriever-pitbull cross was tied up in a yard in downtown Whitehorse when she was stolen last October.
Her organization, Kona's Coalition, is offering a $7,500 reward for information about the case.
The necropsy on Tulie revealed she was about one year old and had been severely beaten before being left in the dumpster. She had several scars, broken bones and one of her paws had been sawn off after she was killed.
The RCMP are taking over the investigation into Tulie's death from bylaw services.
