Police were responding to a complaint of assault at a local residence, a news release says.

A 25-year-old male is facing charges of aggravated assault, overcoming resistance by choking, two counts of assault and forcible confinement. He has been remanded to custody.
Another male, 17, has been charged with assault with a weapon. He's been released until his next court date.
Police confirmed to CBC that one of the males arrested was one of the people seriously injured.
