The Canadian Union of Public Employees represents 87 flight attendants working in Yellowknife, Edmonton, Iqaluit and Ottawa. It says the company was asking for too many concessions.
Ken Smith, president of CUPE's First Air Component, says agreeing to a wage freeze should have been enough.
The First Air flight attendants haven't had a contract since April.
