- On Thursday, June 18, Mary Mickeyook was found by police at a Montreal hospital.
Cree and Inuit relatives are looking for a 60-year-old woman from northern Quebec who went missing in Montreal last week.
Mary Mickeyook had travelled to the city from Kuujjuarapik for medical treatment.
She was last seen on June 10 at the Atwater YMCA where Nunavik patients stay in Montreal. Mickeyook's son-in-law Albert Mianscum says her belongings, including her bank card, were still in her room at the YMCA.
He says her family misses her and is very worried.
Allan Gull, an outreach worker with Montreal's Native Friendship Centre, is working with Montreal police to find Mickeyook. He says anyone with information should call the SPVM at 514-280-0112.
Kuujjuaraapik is the southern-most Inuit community in Quebec, neighbouring the Cree community of Whapmagoostui.
