ConocoPhillips is looking to drill 10 more exploratory fracking wells in the Northwest Territories within the next five years.

It plans to submit its application to the Sahtu Land and Water Board by Tuesday.

Work has ended at the two horizontal wells that were drilled near Norman Wells this winter and no drilling or exploratory work is planned for next winter.

A spokesperson for the company says they will travel to communities in the Sahtu this June to hear people's concerns about the potential new work.
