The thirty-ninth annual Folk on the Rocks will take place July 12-14, 2019, on the sandy shores of Long Lake, just 5 km outside the city of Yellowknife. (Get your tickets through FOTR webpage.)
CBC North is pleased to sponsor the festival again this year. Our team will be on site Saturday/Sunday getting crafty at the CBC Aurora stage from 12-3 p.m.
CBC Aurora Stage
CBC's Lawrence Nayally will be hosting the stage of all-Canadian artists. Join him Saturday/Sunday from 12-5 p.m.

Flora & The Fireweeds
Flora and the Fireweeds is a band from Yellowknife. They play country, folk, jazz and those old songs you love. Flora is Brie O'Keefe, The Fireweeds are Patrick Jacobson, Spencer DeCorby, Brian Weadick, Alyssa Holland and Eva Paul.
Grace Clark
Settle in for an intimate set by Grace Clark, a vibrant nineteen year old Yellowknifer. Her music has already taken her to exciting places, she was a cultural delegate with her fiddle quartet "Double Treble" at the 2016 Arctic Winter Games in Greenland, and performed as a solo artist at the Ness Creek Music Festival in the summer of 2018.
Katłįà
Katłįà (Kat-lee-ah) grew up in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories where she was primarily raised by her grandmother who taught her to be respectful of the land and to practice and appreciate her culture and traditions. Katłįà has received recognition for her writing in recent years winning the Sally Manning Award for her poem "Full Circle" in 2018 and being longlisted for the CBC Poetry Prize.
Kilo November
Kilo November (aka KaiNa'tee Walden) is a 11 year aspiring DJ.
New to the Yellowknife music scene, KaiNa'tee has been passionate about music from the day he was born. With an eclectic appreciation of music ranging from the blues of Howlin'Wolf to the gritty indigenous alternative rock of Diga, KaiNa'tee has found his true calling in the beats and electronic rhythms of artists such as Skrillex, OMG and Martin Garrix.
