Folk on the Rocks swings back to Yellowknife
CBC is proud to sponsor this local event
The Folk on the Rocks festival returns from July 19 to 21 in Yellowknife, with three days of music and fun on the beach of Long Lake, five kilometres outside the city.
There will be an amazing culmination of not only Northwest Territories musical talent but talent from across Canada and beyond.
The Acts
July 19 features amazing acts to start off the Folk on the Rocks Music Festival such as the soulful melodies and woodsy motifs of Andrian Turenne, the six piece band of Cows Go Moo that revels in hard rock, and Glam on The Rocks, a band formed in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
July 20 has the incredible Mattie Leon delivering sixties and seventies bar-style music, Haley Blais brings pop with foot stomping and hand clapping to the festival, and the alternative stylings of Skye Wallace.
July 21 brings Big Blue and its smooth-flowing music, the rock group out of Fort Smith, Amy and The Easy Hundo, and the folk group The Dandy Lions based out of the amazing city of Yellowknife.
