Thursday was election day for six municipalities across the Yukon, and CBC North was there with results, highlights and reactions every step of the way. 

Election night special 

From 8 to 10:30 p.m. PT, Airplay's Dave White hosted a live election night special on CBC Radio One. The special was simulcast live on CBC Yukon's Facebook page, and on CBC North's website.

Online

Our election night live blog was hosted by Paul Tukker and John Last. Starting after polls closed at 8 p.m. PT, the live blog brought up-to-the-minute results from communities across the territory and hosted a live discussion.

Our reporters posted updates to the CBC Yukon page and on Twitter using the hashtag #YukonVotes.

On television

Juanita Taylor hosted a special edition of Northbeat at 10 p.m. PT, where she detailed the results from across the territory. Juanita was joined by reporters Alexandra Byers and Jacqueline McKay for a breakdown and analysis of the vote.

The morning after

On Friday morning, tune into A New Day on CBC Radio One, where guest host James Miller will interview winning candidates from Thursday night's elections, including Whitehorse's mayor-elect.
