"Our theme this year is Unikkausivut: Our Stories, which is a very important part of the history and culture of Nunavut," says festival director Heather Daley. "We're really excited for our artists to be sharing their stories."

The Young Circumpolar Artists Collaboration, a new addition to the festival, will bring together young artists from Greenland, Nunavut and Nunavik, says Daley.

Other performers will include Matuto, a Brazilian bluegrass band from New York, and Bobs & LoLo of Treehouse TV fame.

This year's festival will last longer than in recent years, running from June 26 to July 1.
