Woman injured in pedestrian-vehicle accident in downtown St. John's

A portion of a busy street in downtown St. John's was closed to traffic late Saturday night, following a vehicle-pedestrian collision.

A portion of a busy street in downtown St. John's was closed to traffic late Saturday night, following a vehicle-pedestrian collision. 

At 11 p.m., the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and emergency crews were called to the accident on Water Street.

The RNC says the pedestrian, a woman, was treated for what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the roadway was re-opened a short time later.
