Finalists announced for Winterset writing award

Arts NL has announced the finalists for the 2015 BMO Winterset Award for Newfoundland and Labrador books.

The finalists are Stan Dragland, for Strangers and Others; Sara Tilley, for Duke; and Leslie Vryenhoek for Ledger of the Open Hand.

The award was open to any genre of book published in 2015

The winner will be announced on March 24 at Government House. Winners receive a prize of $12,500, while the runners up will each receive $3,000.

The three finalists will read from their books and answer questions at a public reading on March 23.
