Watch capelin schooling in Bonne Bay
Many people in Newfoundland and Labrador are used to seeing capelin as they roll into the province's beaches to spawn, but they don't often get to see them swimming underwater.
Many people in Newfoundland and Labrador are used to seeing capelin as they roll onto the province's beaches to spawn, but they don't often get to see them underwater.
Grade 10 student Joey Young has changed that by posting a video of a capelin school swimming by Bonne Bay's government wharf in Gros Morne National Park.
Young attached his GoPro Hero 3 to a jigger line when he saw the school of fish two days ago. He posted the result on his brother Joshua's YouTube channel
Watch to see how quickly the school darts about, and changes direction.
