Union, labour groups rally against privatization in Corner Brook
To the tune of Public Enemy's Fight The Power, Newfoundland and Labrador's Federation of Labour held a rally against the province's plan for some long-term beds to be privately owned and operated.
To the tune of Public Enemy's Fight The Power, Newfoundland and Labrador's Federation of Labour held a rally against the province's plan for some long-term beds to be privately owned and operated.
"Our public sector is not for sale," chanted federation president Mary Shortall. "Our public services are not for sale. Stop this outrageous move government. Do the right thing."
About 100 union and labour organization members showed up waving flags and chanting.
