30 years ago, Bull Cook, a pub owner in St John’s advertised a pub crawl in the newspaper but later cancelled the event saying it was a bad idea.

Many people go bar hopping on George Street, but 30 years ago, one St. John's bar owner decided to cancel a pub crawl.

To mark #ThrowbackThursday, our weekly slice of vintage video is from 1986.

He changed his mind because he didn't want to promote drinking.
