Stephen Harper to meet with N.L. premier

Prime Minister Stephen Harper is scheduled to give a speech in St. John's to the Canadian Construction Association on Jan 29.

A spokesperson said Monday that Harper asked to meet with Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Danny Williams during his visit.

His official described it as a courtesy meeting with no set agenda.

Williams's office confirmed that the premier is planning to meet with Harper.
