Town of Paradise advises traffic may be delayed
Traffic is expected to be delayed throughout the fall as crews work on a busy road in Paradise that connects Topsail Road with Portugal Cove-St. Philips.
Construction crews will begin widening St. Thomas Line from Topsail Road to Ridgewood Drive, to make way for a curb, gutters, sidewalks and storm sewers.
For four months, crews are expected to work between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
In the meantime, students at Holy Family Elementary will be bused to school in an attempt to minimize traffic flow. Buses will be given priority through construction zones, the town said in a statement.
Because of expected delays during the next four months, drivers are advised to take alternate routes around the area.
