Swinging temperatures, snow, rain and everything in between has caused pavement to lift around St. John's.
Paul Mackey, deputy city manager, public works with the City of St. John's, says while it is early for potholes, a lot have been reported by drivers over the last couple of weeks.
Mackey said he doesn't know how many there are but said the city is trying to get the potholes on arterial routes repaired as soon as possible.
He said it's difficult to fix when the potholes show up between lanes of traffic.
