Police believe a mechanical issue caused smoke to come from a school bus on the Northern Peninsula on Wednesday.

The Port Saunders RCMP detachment said they were called to the scene of the smoking bus on Route 430, near Reefs Harbour, at about 3:45 p.m.
No children were injured, and they've all been picked up by parents, police say.
The incident is believed to be mechanical in nature, but the police investigation is still underway.
