About 400 people came together at a park near downtown St. John's on Saturday to honour the late Ron Hynes and sing his most well-known song.
The crowd joined together to sing Sonny's Dream, the world-famous song that has been performed and recorded by countless artists across Canada and around the world.
The event was organized spontaneously through Facebook after news broke Thursday night that Hynes had died at hospital in St. John's.
