The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says it has identified suspects in the Boyle Street shooting earlier this month in St. John’s, though police have not indicated any arrests in the case.

“Investigating officers have confirmed that they have identified suspects in this case and have determined that this was not a random act,” said RNC Const. Steve Curnew in a statement.

Police swarmed the Boyle Street area late on the night of Sept. 13 after bullets were sprayed near the intersection with Anspach Street.

Sean Frampton, 26, was wounded with multiple gunshot wounds.

The RNC has said that the victim is known to them, but has not confirmed Frampton's identity.

Frampton was acquitted of armed robbery in March.

Though the force said it has identified suspects in the shooting, the RNC is still asking anyone who may know something else about the incident to get in contact with them
