A wet day on the Avalon has led organizers with the Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival to move Sunday night's musical performances at Bannerman Park in St. John's to Monday.

Officials from the festival told CBC News that because of forecasted heavy rain Sunday evening, tonight's concert featuring The Once and Fortunate Ones will be postponed until tomorrow.

Gates will now open on Monday at 5:30 p.m. for a 6:00 p.m. start for the concert.

Organizers said tickets for Sunday's shows can be redeemed tomorrow and refunds will be made available through Etix to those unable to attend.
