Hydro crews scrambling to address outage in Gaultois
Utility crews with Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro are scrambling Tuesday to address an unscheduled power outage in the south coast community of Gaultois.
Hydro plans to use a helicopter to transport a crew to the isolated community, where roughly half the community of fewer than 200 residents is without power.
The outage was reported just after 8 a.m.
On the Northern Peninsula, 10 communities from Flower's Cove in the south to Eddies Cove in the north were also without power on Tuesday morning.
Hydro said on its Twitter feed that power was restored by 9:35 a.m.
