The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has released surveillance video footage of an armed robbery at a St. John's pharmacy last week.

It happened at Healy's Pharmacy on Water St. West on Aug. 18, at around 6 p.m.

A man walked into the drugstore, while wielding what looks like a knife and pointing it at employees and others in the store, then demanded narcotics.

He was quickly handed a box filled with prescription pills, and then fled the scene on foot. He was last spotted heading west on Water Street.

There were no injuries during the incident.

The suspect is described as being around 5'5", with an average build. At the time of the crime, he was wearing black pants, a red hoodie, dark sunglasses, and a black backpack.

This is the second time that a Healy's location has been held up this summer. The Casey St. location was robbed in July.

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to contact the RNC or Crime Stoppers.
