The Newfoundland and Labrador Progressive Conservative Party will hold a vote on Paul Davis's leadership at their annual general meeting in Gander next month.
The party has received and verified a motion moved by former PC executive director Sharon Vokey to take on the review.
Vokey said earlier this week she believes it's time to re-evaluate Davis's leadership before the party moves towards the next election.
To remain the party's leader, Davis will need to receive a vote of over 50 per cent in support of his leadership.
If he falls below 50 per cent, an automatic leadership convention will be held.
The vote will take place on Oct. 22.
