On Point: Provincial budget planning, revamping Bill 29

In anticipation of the upcoming provincial budget, On Point host David Cochrane's first guests share their thoughts on how the public's money would best be spent.

Economist Wade Locke wants the government to raise taxes for high-income earners in an effort to help low-income families. Meanwhile, Richard Alexander, executive director of the Newfoundland and Labrador Employers' Council, wants government to cut spending. 

In the last half of the show, the group that slammed Bill 29 praises its replacement. Michael Karanicolas of the Centre for Law and Democracy discusses the act's most significant changes.
