Fuel prices in Newfoundland and Labrador saw slight fluctuations as part of the weekly price adjustment Thursday.

The largest increase approved by the Public Utilities Board came with diesel, which is up 1.6 cents per litre across much of the province and by 1.5 cents per litre in Labrador West and Churchill Falls.

The change means maximum prices for diesel now range between $1.79 and $1.91 per litre in Newfoundland and between $1.86 and $2.59 per litre in Labrador.

Gasoline was the lone fuel to drop in price, albeit by just a tenth of a cent per litre. The change puts the price of gas on the Avalon Peninsula — where it's typically cheapest — at $1.656 per litre. Prices in other parts of the island range between $1.66 and $1.83 per litre in Newfoundland and between $1.64 and $2.20 per litre in Labrador.

Home heating fuels like furnace oil, stove oil and propane all increased in price.

Furnace oil increased by over 1.3 cents per litre, meaning customers in Newfoundland will pay maximum prices between $1.14 and $1.33 depending on their location.

The price of stove oil increased by over 1.5 cents across much of the province, except by 1.25 cents per litre in Labrador West and Churchill Falls. The price adjustments mean maximum prices now range between $1.12 and $1.31 per litre in Newfoundland and between $1.23 and just over $1.94 per litre in Labrador.

Propane increased by 0.4 cents per litre, meaning customers will pay maximum prices between 96 and $1.10 per litre in Newfoundland and between 83 cents and $1.27 per litre in Labrador.
