Raymond Stacey, who is accused of stabbing a co-worker to death earlier this month, will apply for bail in February.

Stacey, 23, made a brief court appearance in St. John's provincial court Wednesday morning. He's charged with second-degree murder.

His bail application will be heard in Supreme Court Feb. 3.

Stacy's lawyer Bob Buckingham said he expected to get more disclosure on the case from the Crown this week.

Stacey is alleged to have stabbed Clifford Comerford, 41, in a van taking employees to work at a chicken farm off the Trans-Canada Highway.

It happened shortly after Stacey was picked up in Mount Pearl.

Comerford died hours later at the Health Sciences Centre.

Stacey is expected back for a court appearance at the end of February.
