Moose gets peeved with truck headed into Nippers Harbour

A Newfoundland woman got more than she bargained for when she spotted a moose on a Baie Verte Peninsula road.

Wanda Locke says she was driving to Nippers Harbour Tuesday morning, when she encountered a moose headed in the same direction.

But the moose didn't just walk away.

After driving slowly behind the moose for some time, the animal decided to approach the truck, and Wanda captured the confrontation with her camera.

"This moose was in the mood for a standoff, and decided to put his hoof down the side of our truck," said Locke.

There's no word on any damage to the truck, but the moose trotted off in the opposite direction.
