Moose collision claims driver's life on Southern Shore
A Bay Bulls man was killed Sunday night after he struck a moose on the Southern Shore highway, police said Monday.
A Bay Bulls man was killed Sunday night after he struck a moose on the Southern Shore highway, police said Monday.
The driver had swerved to avoid hitting a moose on a stretch of the highway just north of Bay Bulls, RCMP said, but wound up hitting the animal.
The vehicle overturned and crashed into the ditch by the northbound lane.
The driver, 34, had been the only person in the vehicle.
The man’s name has not been released.
