What are you at? This is it: Megan Jackman's handbags
St. John's pharmacist turned designer has created Ragmaw handbags
Megan Jackman had been working as a pharmacist for five years when she realized that for her, there was more to life than filling prescriptions.
"It's not that I didn't enjoy pharmacy," said Jackman.
"But I felt like I really needed to do something creative."
A lifelong sewer, Jackman designed her first handbag when she was 15 years old, and she hasn't stopped since.
For the past few years, Jackman has been dividing her time between pharmacy work, and developing her own handbag company, Ragmaw.
She now spends more time designing and creating handbags than she does filling prescriptions.
Jackman said the transition has meant she's had to scale back some parts of her life, but the pleasure she gets from her work is worth it.
"I just feel really happy when someone buys one of my bags."
