Kaetlyn Osmond already hoping for 2nd Olympic run
Marystown native Kaetlyn Osmond just wrapped up her first Olympic experience, but she says she's already looking forward to trying for Olympic glory again in four years' time.
Osmond finished up her competition on Sochi Thursday afternoon.
She said the overall experience — which includes winning a silver medal in the team skate event — has been amazing.
"I'm really excited with everything, and to be a part of the team event and to put at least one good program into the team event, I felt great,” Osmond said.
"To stand on the podium with a team and to experience it all with a group of people, and such a great group of people, it felt fantastic, and it's definitely a memory I'll never forget."
But Osmond said this first Olympic Games has left her wanting more.
"The experience is one that I'll definitely want to experience again, and I've learned a lot from this Olympics and how to deal with the pressure, and to know what it will be like," she said.
"I'm just looking forward to training and getting back four years from now."
