Journey to play St. John's, kicks off N.L. summer concert announcements

Classic rock band Journey has added St. John's to its list of tour locations this year.

According to the band's website, they will play at Mile One Centre on Aug. 2.

Journey, which topped music charts in the 1970s and 1980s, is the first big-name act to announce a summer tour date in this province, so far.

The band will finish up a tour across the United States and Mexico in May, and will begin its first ever Canadian-only tour in July.

St. John's is the band's last stop.

Tickets prices range from $54.50-$119.50, and go on sale on Feb. 27.
