At special CBC forum, teachers discuss full-day kindergarten, math and regrets about entering their profession

In this third and final segment of Inside the Classroom, CBC Newfoundland and Labrador's special series on education, we're delving into the academic side of things.

The teachers discuss the implementation of full-day kindergarten, how math is being taught, and how some are buying their own supplies for their classrooms.

Career choices

The teachers also openly tackle the question: Knowing what you know now, would you have chosen teaching as your career?

They gave poignant answers, some saying because of the emotional toll, there's no way they would be able to handle it all again, while others say it's a daily struggle — but it's for the children.

Thirty educators from across Newfoundland and Labrador took part in this forum, which was recorded in January.
