IceCaps: Jets farm team says goodbye to St. John's in final weekend series

The Winnipeg Jets farm team is playing its final AHL games in St. John's this weekend, as the current St. John's IceCaps team prepare to make the move to Manitoba — while Newfoundland and Labrador awaits the Montreal Canadiens' farm team.

The Winnipeg Jets farm team is playing its final AHL games in St. John's this weekend, as the current St. John's IceCaps team prepare to make the move to Manitoba — while Newfoundland and Labrador awaits the Montreal Canadiens' farm team.

Friday and Saturday night, the IceCaps will face off against the Springfield Falcons at Mile One Centre.

The games will be the series-ender for the team, and the final one the current IceCaps roster play in St. John's.

The IceCaps will move to Winnipeg, but the team name will remain in St. John's as the Habs farm team gets ready to move in for next season.
