Hey Rosetta! always comes home for Christmas

It's a holiday tradition for the band, and once again Hey Rosetta! will be performing concerts in St. John's this Christmas time.

Frontman Tim Baker told CBC Here and Now that the band, which has been active for about 12 years, has only missed one holiday date.

"One of the reasons we do these shows, is like there's so many people in town at Christmas. It's such a joyful sort of thing," he said. "There's so many people around celebrating that it's like the perfect kind of spirit for a show." 

Hey Rosetta! is performing this year at the St. John's Convention Centre on Dec. 16 and 17.

Saturday's afternoon show is a fundraiser for Choices for Youth, a charity Baker says is a "a great organization doing really necessary work."
