Premier Dwight Ball and Finance Minister Cathy Bennett will answer questions on the budget on Monday night, in a special edition of Here & Now.

We're setting aside our regular newscast Monday evening for a one-hour live special from our studios, where Ball and Bennett will answer questions that we will collect online, as well as questions from the floor.

The April 14 budget is one of the toughest that Newfoundland and Labrador has seen in years, with across-the-board tax increases, dozens of fee hikes and cuts in spending. The new Liberal government has also said that more tough decisions are looming, in a forthcoming mini-budget in the fall.

On May 2, we are turning the entire show over to you. What question do you want to put before the two most powerful politicians in the provincial government?

Here's how to take part. Email a question to hereandnow.nl@cbc.ca, or go to Twitter and tweet it to the attention of @cbcnl. You can also send a question directly from our Facebook page.

The special edition of Here & Now will start at 6 p.m. NT on Monday, or 5:30 p.m. in most of Labrador.

You can join the discussion on our website at the time, as well as through our Facebook page.
